Quinclorac Select 75DF Hercidide is labeled for use on cool-season turfgrasses in residential and non-residential settings. It is a dry-flowable formulation with 75% active ingredient: Quinclorac: 3,7-dichloro-8-quinolinecarboxylic acid. This is one of the few products available to be used for post-emergence control of crabgrass, barnyardgrass, blackmedic, clover, dandelion, annual foxtail and common, slender and thymeleaf speedwell. The application rate for Quinclorac Select 75DF is 1 pound per acre.
Controls crabgrass in mature stages and also provides up to 45 days pre-emergence for crabgrass in Bermudagrass. Non-injurious to many desirable cool and warm season turf species and is safe enough to apply immediately before or after seeding or sprigging of many turf species. Time to Kill
Quinclorac 75 DF begins to eliminate crabgrass and torpedo grass within hours of application but can take up to several weeks to completely kill the target weeds.
The maximum mix rate for Quinclorac is 0.367 ounce per gallon of water. That comes out to about 1.4 teaspoons of quinclorac per gallon.
