How to Control White Grubs
White Grub Control in your lawn can be difficult to identify and sometimes deal with. In some cases by the time you see the damage or know you have a grub problem it may be to late. And the damage may be already done, White grubs or lawn grubs are the larvae of the beetle. High numbers are usually evident in late spring or early summer. The biggest problem causing beetles are the Japanese Beetles Masked Chafers, and Asiatic and Jun Beetles. The greatest amount of damage from the White Grubs are caused in the early part of the summer.
When you see more than 8 to 10 grubs per square foot of lawn it may be time to start thinking about treating for the problem. How to check your number: Dig up an area of your soil, take about a 12 x 12" square area and count the number of grubs that you find. If the total in that area is more than 8 to 10 grubs it is time to treat. Treating your lawn with Imidacloprid or Bifenthrin insecticide would be the best solution for getting rid of your White Grub Problem.
