For Use In
MSMA can be used on Cotton, Golf courses, Sod Farms, and highway rights of way for weed control.,
Application varies based on application site but it is important to apply MSMA when the temperature is between 80 and 90 degrees. Chlorosis, which is a yellowing of the leaves, may occur for broadcast applications of MSMA. It is normal and the desireable turf grasses should regain their normal color in 7-14 days.
You will want to spray crabgrass, johnsongrass, and dallisgrass during the first or second stage of growth. This is usually done during the spring when grasses are beginning to germinate.
For general applications mix 2 oz of MSMA per gallon of water and apply as a coarse spray to weeds.
Applications may only be made twice per season. Wait a minimum of 10 days between treatments.

DO NOT APPLY TO ST AUGUSTINE GRASS, CARPETGRASS, OR CENTIPEDE GRASS. MSMA will kills those grasses.
Recently MSMA was banned for use on golf courses which was the primary use for it. We primarily sell MSMA into the right of way vegetation management and range and pasture market. There are a few agricultural uses for MSMA during the cotton growing season. It is important to refer to the label from the manufacturer for the most up to date application sites for MSMA herbicide. We try to keep our site as up to date as possible but cannot guarantee the validity of the statements on MSMA.
Each 2.5 Gallon of MSMA will treat up to 4 acres of turf for various weeds depending on application rate.
Time to Kill
MSMA Target 6 Plus will begin killing weeds immediately. You will notice chlorosis which is discoloration of the plant leaves but it may take up to 14 days until complete control is achieved.
MSMA should be mixed at a rate of 2oz per gallon of water for general applications. Please refer to the label or give us a call for specific mix rates for particular weeds.
