Mosquitoes have ruined many a gathering whether it be a park, a picnic or an outdoor shindig. However, there are things that you can do to chase off those pests and enjoy some time outdoors. 

1. Protect Your Skin With Skin Repellant

2. Get Rid of all forms of Standing Water

This means emptying or covering that bird bath when it isn't in use and emptying out flowering pots and cleaning up puddles.

Stagnant water does not always mean that there is a water feature in the yard. Water can be captured in flowering pots, or pet dishes that have been left standing outside in the yard, yards which have poor water drainage, or any other container. Check for stagnant water in small containers to ensure that the insects are not breeding in the backyard.

3. Use Chemical Products
