FLY ZAPPERS KILLING FLIES OUTSIDE, WHAT WORKS AS WELL INSIDE?
Flies can be some of the most annoying pests that a person comes across, and unfortunately, they seem to be absolutely everywhere. Fly zappers are a great way to handle these nuisances, but in reality, these effective devices simply aren’t meant for indoor use. Luckily, there are quite a few alternatives to fly zappers for indoor flies, and some even manage to still look like traditional zappers.
Non-Electric Alternatives to Fly Zappers
There are several alternatives to fly zappers which can easily and hygienically get rid of flies indoors that will attract and trap flies in several different ways. The flies can then be disposed of when the traps are full.
Using Insect Light Traps
As mentioned earlier, some fly traps have the appearance of traditional zappers without the constant “zap, zap, zap” and frying of fly carcasses. Fly lights, for instance, use the same UV light technology to attract flies. The bulbs, however, do not kill the insects. There are glue boards within these devices that trap the flying pests. In fact, these boards often have pheromone smells to attract the bugs.
Though many people probably enjoy the sound of zapping flies on their porch, it’s simply not hygienic to have zappers inside of a home. Luckily, fly light traps are the next best thing.
