When I was first hunting for help with our home's fly problem, I couldn't find reviews for fly lights so I was a bit nervous about this working. We live on a ranch in Wyoming, where fly trouble really begins in the fall as the flies crawl into every crack and crevice in your house and then continue to emerge inside all fall and winter, every time the sun warms up the house a bit. We're talking hundreds upon hundreds of flies, requiring us to vacuum the kids room every night for those that had fallen to the floor and many more left buzzing around. Not to mention the upstairs floor being covered in them, stepping on them getting out of the shower, and having them fall from the light fixture onto your head. Yuck! Well, the first day I put up the fly light in the kids room, it had trapped 37 flies within about 10 minutes (even while there was competing light from the windows!) Within an hour an a half, about 90 flies had met their doom and by dark my kids room was CLEAR - I couldn't find any more flies! It is impossible to trap every single fly every day (ours emerge kind of weak and sometimes don't get to the light) but what a difference! No more vacuuming every night. Right now I move it from room to room but absolutely plan to invest in more units. The trade off for the homeowner, of course, is spending money on glue boards and lights, but I am at the place I would rather pay for them than vacuum every night and keep stepping on flies everywhere. And as winter comes on we will have fewer days that flies "emerge" from their hiding places, making that expense less later. Highly, highly recommended for people desperate for fly relief.
