    SEDGEHAMMER HERBICIDE 1 BOX...MAKES 1-2 GALLONS

1 box 0.9 GRAM WATER SOLUABLE PACKET

    • SEDGEHAMMER herbicide provides postemergence control of purple and yellow nutsedge in warm- and cool-season Turfgrasses, including common and hybrid St. Augustine grass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Bermudagrass, tall and fine fescue and perennial ryegrass.
    • When applied according to the label directions, SEDGEHAMMER won't injure turfgrass, established ornamentals, shrubs a or trees.
    • Its relatively short half life, intermediate soil binding properties and low use rates make movement into surface or ground water highly unlikely.
    • 0.9 gram will mix with 1-2 gallons of water.
    • Makes 1 to 2 gallons depending on infestation level.
    • Will treat approximately 1000 square feet.

For post-emergence control of purple or yellow nutsedge found in established turfgrass, apply 2/3 to 1 1/3 ounces by weight of this product per acre (0.031 to 0.062 pound active ingredient per acre) after nutsedge has reached the 3 to 8 leaf stage of growth. Use the lower rate in light infestations and the higher rate in heavy infestations.

A second treatment may be required 6 to 10 weeks after the initial treatment. Use the lower rate in light infestations and the higher rate in heavy infestations. No more than 4 applications can be made with the total use rate not exceeding (5 1/3 ounces by weight of this product (0.25 pounds active ingredient) per acre per use season.

Use 0.25-0.5 percent v/v of a nonionic surfactant (1-2 quarts per 100 gallons of spray solution) for broadcast applications. For high volume applications, DO NOT exceed 1 quart of surfactant per acre. Use only nonionic surfactants that contain at least 80 percent active material.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 The only thing that will kill Nutsedge., 1.17.2012
    Reviewer: Joe Shramovich (Glendale, AZ)

Ever since I moved into my house I have had a problem with Nutsedge. I didn't even know what it was and none of the weed or grass killers would take care of this stuff. I had nutsedge completely surrounding a Ash tree and I sprayed too many other products around the tree and ended up killing it. However, the Nutsedge just came back. Also, when you pull Nutsedge, it will drop all it's seeds right back into the ground. There is no way around this, once the roots are pulled, it drops the seeds. Sedgehammer is the only thing that will work on the stuff, at least from what I have found. I recommend adding some "nonionic surfactant" so it sticks to the nutsedge. If it ends up raining on you, you will be sorry you didn't add he nonionic surfactant. I heard you could also mix some soap and water together to use in place of nonionic surfactant but I didn't have any luck with that. I may end up needing to do another treatment but I have gotten rid of 90% of my Nutsedge and I just did another treatment a week ago so maybe I will be good to go. Also, you can bet the price and the free shipping from epestsolutions. I found this stuff at a nursery for over 3 times the price epestsolutions has it for.

Reviewer: Thomas P Moss (Ballwin, MO)

I have had nutgrass for years and it got worse and worse until someone told me about sedghammer and I bought it and the surficant here. After the first application and about 5 days, only the nutgrass is turning yellow and buring at the tips - horray!!!

I had a significant problem with nutsedge in my Florida lawn. I tried several other products that literally killed my St. Augustine grass. Sedgehammer has provided a solution.

Reviewer: Jerry Sedlacko (North Huntingdon, PA)

I researched online for a product that would kill Nutsedge and found Sedgehammer on this site. After reading a bit about it, I decided to try it out and I am sure glad I did. In a couple of days, the sedge started to turn a little yellow and now less than a week after application, it is almost gone. I didn't use this yet on all the spots in my yard because I wanted to test it first, but I will be ordering more and getting rid of all the nutsedge in my yard.

    Reviewer: David Wegman (Swansboro, NC)

I've battled nutgrass for years without much success. Pulling it up IS NOT the answer. Then I found Sedgehammer, a selective nutgrass killer, and it truly works. I use two applications about 2 weeks apart and it works without harming my centipede grass. Thanks for a great product.
