Pyrocide dual-synergized insect fogging concentrates provide both flushing action and quick knockdown of a wide range of pests. Pyrocide 100 is directly comparable to ULD® BP-100 and Pryocide 300 is comparable to ULD® BP-300.
- Labeled for use in Food Processing and Stored Food Areas
- Synergized with Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO) and MGK 264
- Effective and fast acting contact insecticide
Pyrocide 100 Contact Insecticide uses pyrethrins with a 5% dual synergist and insect fogging concentrates for tough insect control. Pyrocide 100 Contact Insecticide is authorized for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants for broad spectrum control of a number of crawling and flying insects found in food handling areas. Pyrocide 100 Contact Insecticide can be used full strength or diluted in a variety of ULV application equipment such as the Micro-Injector and other ULV equipment designed for Crack & Crevice, space and contact spray.
Pyrocide 100 may be diluted with refined kerosenes, which meet Food Additive Regulations as defined by CFR Title 21, 172.884, and applied in fogging equipment that give larger than aerosol particle size. It can also be diluted with the oil specified above and applied as a contact spray to kill crawling insects listed on the product label. Pests on label: Angoumois Grain Moths, Grain Mites, Confused Flour Beetles, Drugstore Beetles, Indian Meal Moths, Saw-toothed Grain Beetles, Warehouse Beetles, Rice Weevils, Rusty Grain Beetles, Granary Weevils, Mediterranean Flour Moths and many more. MGK misting products are made specifically to work with professional misting systems to effectively kill mosquitoes, flies and other flying insect pests.
Pyrethrum: The Best Choice
Installing and using a misting system on a property requires making decisions regarding the type of insect control products to use, and how to use them responsibly and most effectively. The most commonly used misting system insect control products rely on pyrethrum (also referred to as pyrethrins), a botanical extract from a chrysanthemum flower Tanacetum cinerariaefolium. Pyrethrum has several characteristics that make it an ideal choice for use in misting systems.
- Pyrethrum is fast acting: it quickly knocks down and kills mosquitoes, flies and other nuisance pests.
- Pyrethrum quickly breaks down in sunlight, leaving no residues.
- Pyrethrum irritates or excites insects, increasing probability of exposure to the mist solution.
