From 2004-2006, the IR-4 minor use ornamental program sponsored research to expand the labels of three pre-emergent weed control herbicides used to manage weeds in and around nursery crops. More than 70 ornamental species were shown to be tolerant to applications of Pendulum® 2G weed killers when applied over the top of established plants used in nursery production and in landscapes.

In over two years of evaluations with 16 USDA and university researchers from across the country, Pendulum 2G was evaluated at 1x, 2x and 4x the label rate for plant safety.

Keys to Success

Uniform application of Pendulum 2G over the treated area is essential for effective control. The herbicide must be applied prior to weed germination. Efficacy will be improved if application is followed by one-half inch of rainfall or its equivalent in sprinkler irrigation.
