Spider Spray for Beginners

Spiders and other arachnids may be of use to you outside in your garden, but they can be frightening and irritating when found inside of your home. In cases where spiders are a continuing indoor problem, using spider spray is an excellent option that can help get rid of those pests.

The Dangers of Spiders

While spiders may not be the first thing people think of when they are considering annoying pests in their home, spiders have serious traits that can make them more dangerous and problematic than other insects or rodents. The biggest issue is not necessarily infestation, but rather becoming victim to a spider bite. In some species, such as the brown recluse or black widow, spider bites can be detrimental to your health or even fatal.

Benefits of Using Spider Spray

There are a variety of spider sprays to choose from depending upon your situation. Spider repellents can be used to keep spiders away from the perimeter and inside areas of your home. Other spider sprays are designed to poison and kill the pest outright on contact.

The key is to apply your spider spray not only to the obvious areas both inside and outside your home, but also to the less obvious places where spiders may be hiding or living. Places to be particularly mindful of are closets, storage spaces, and out of the way corners. These areas are perfect for sprays which are usually designed to cover hard to reach places such as spots behind furniture, along the baseboards, or ceiling corners.
