Tips on How to Get Rid of Fleas Part II: Flea Spray

One of the most common methods to get rid of fleas is flea spray, because it is effective and easy to use. It can also be used alone or in conjunction with other flea control methods.

All about flea spray

There are many different kinds of flea sprays; some can be used on your pet, some can be used indoors and others outdoors and there are even sprays for your carpet. They all work to get rid of fleas in different stages and places. The most important thing when trying to eliminate fleas from your home is to treat everything. When you treat all areas in your home, your carpet, your pets, outside, etc. you get a more successful result. For example, the carpet spray works to kill fleas in your carpet, on drapes, in rugs and on other upholstery. Most flea larvae live in your carpet until they are mature, so treating your carpet is a must. Flea sprays also work to prevent residual fleas for about 7 months. Pet flea spray kills fleas in the early stages of their life in order to stop their life and reproduction cycles.

In order to get rid of fleas you have to be diligent. Also, be aware of pets and small children as they should not be in the home when insecticides, bug bombs or other harsh chemicals are being used. Once every living thing has been treated it is best to stay away from the home until the treatment is done and it is safe to return. Just make sure that you are fully treated so that you do not spread them to your family, friends or a hotel.
