Stinging Insect Insecticides for DIY Pest Control

Stinging insects can be divided into 4 groups:  Ants, bees and wasps, scorpions, and a few caterpillars.  Reactions to stings are categorized as normal (slight pain for few minutes in area), Local reaction ( Swelling which persist for several days, can be serious is swelling occurs in throat), Toxic reaction (Multiple symptoms:  Headache, fatigue, diarrhea, vomiting, unconsciousness, muscle spasms, and sometimes convulsions), and Generalized Allergic Reaction (can range from slight to severe: with a large list of symptoms and anyone who suffers a allergic reaction should seek medical attention within 15 to 30 minutes.

Common names of stinging insects are Bees, Solitary Wasps, Social Wasps, Vespid Wasp, Social Bees, Solitary Bees, Scorpions, Stinging ants, Cicada killers, paper wasps, yellowjacks, Hornets, velvet ants and Stinging caterpillars.

Proper evaluation of the nest and surrounding structures are necessary for safe and effect removal of stinging insects.  The use of specific aerosols, dust and residual insecticides will make the job easy and effective.  Proper equipment such as bee suits, dusters, pole extension will help make your DIY attempt to remove certain stinging insects successful.
