Aresenal Powerline - Herbicide Total Weed Killer
BASF continues to research and develop new vegetation management solutions, giving you more choices to combat undesirable weeds that can affect the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Arsenal PowerLine with Transport Technology is a new herbicide that provides consistent, effective, longterm brush and broadleaf weed control at low application rates. Arsenal PowerLine improves upon existing imazapyr-based herbicide formulations by using Transport Technology a patented formulation technology that offers greater uptake and more effective translocation of the active ingredient than other products."Vegetation managers will see more consistent, long-term control with Arsenal PowerLine than with any other product they've been using, including Arsenal® herbicide,” said Tim Knight, business manager, BASF Professional Vegetation Management (ProVM). “We've used patented formulation technology to improve on imazapyr.”
With Arsenal PowerLine, more herbicide is absorbed by the plant, providing faster upfront control and more effective long-term control. As a result, this new formulation technology can also reduce the amount of herbicide that may wash off the leaves possibly reducing the potential for offtarget damage.
Arsenal PowerLine underwent comparative field tests that demonstrated the power of Transport Technology. In the greenhouse trials, C-14 studies show that Arsenal PowerLine with Transport Technology provides more consistent, long-term control of numerous tough weed and brush species in a variety of environmental conditions. Specifically, C-14 test results show that Transport Technology increases both the rate and quantity of uptake, resulting in long-term control. Arsenal PowerLine is readily absorbed through leaves and stems of vegetation. Even though the branches may look similar to the naked eye, exposing the cambium reveals that treated brush is dead. On postemergence foliar applications of Arsenal PowerLine, a spray adjuvant greatly enhances herbicide performance.
“The similar application and tankmix options of Arsenal and Arsenal PowerLine make incorporating Arsenal PowerLine into existing vegetation management programs easy,” Knight said.
Arsenal® PowerLine herbicide can be applied using a variety of application methods, and is a strong stand-alone product or tank-mix partner. As an excellent foundation for tank mixes, Arsenal PowerLine can help broaden the spectrum of weeds controlled. The active ingredient in Arsenal PowerLine is absorbed through the leaves and stems of vegetation. It binds with an enzyme found only in plants (not humans, mammals, birds, fish or insects). Because Arsenal PowerLine can be used at low rates, it has a low level of active ingredient per acre, making it ideal for use in areas where the goal is to enhance wildlife habitat. “Arsenal PowerLine with Transport Technology illustrates the ongoing BASF commitment to innovation that makes a real difference to vegetation managers,” said Knight. “Our goal is to bring our customers new solutions that improve return on investment and provide superior control. And Arsenal PowerLine does just that”.
When it comes to controlling unwanted brush, traditional mechanical methods don't really cut it. Re-sprouts and increased stem densities lead to more mowing – and more costs.
But a herbicide-based program with Arsenal controls a broad spectrum of brush species and helps reduce costs.
Can Arsenal® herbicide be used on pasture
A: Yes, Arsenal can be used for spot treatment on
grass pasture and rangeland, and in non-cropland areas
including areas that may be grazed or cut for hay.
Q: What vegetation does Arsenal control?
A: Arsenal will control most annual and perennial grasses and
broadleaf weeds in addition to many brush and vine species.
Arsenal will provide residual control of labeled weeds which
germinate in the treated areas.
Q: How should Arsenal be applied on these lands?
A: For the control of undesirable weeds in pasture and
rangeland, Arsenal may be applied as a spot treatment at a
rate of 2 to 48 fluid ounces of product per treated acre, using
ground application methods as described on the label.
Spot applications to grass pasture and rangeland may not exceed
more than one tenth of the area to be grazed or cut for hay.
DO NOT apply more than 48 fluid ounces per acre per year.

Arsenal prevents re-sprouting, eliminates re-treats and saves money on treatment and labor. And, because Arsenal is a low-volume herbicide, it helps manage public concerns and wildlife habitats as well.
Along with non selective herbicides ePestSolutions also has a wide range of post emergent and pre emergent herbicides for selective weed control. Also check our other weed control products including spray additives, aquatic herbicides, etc.
