Pre Construction: Equil Adonis™ is the affordable upgrade for PMPs and builders looking for the highest quality, long-lasting control at a price competitive to the repellent termiticides. Adonis contains imidacloprid, the first non-repellent to succeed in the rigorous USDA-Forest Service testing, even under the harsh conditions seen in Arizona and Florida, providing full protection for 15 and 12 years, respectively. To date, more homes have been pre-treated with imidacloprid than any other non-repellent termiticide.
Post-Construction: Value-priced compared to other non-repellent termiticides, you get more years structural protection per dollar spent. Adonis offers good lateral movement to fill voids, outstanding residual control, and unique dual-action control of termites. When termites encounter Adonis in the soil, they are either killed on contact or shortly thereafter. Those that survive briefly after contact stop feeding and transfer the active ingredient to other, naïve termites within a colony. This transfer of imidacloprid from treated to untreated termites can result in control beyond the treatment zone and additional protection from future termite infestations. The non-repellency of imidacloprid means that termites cannot detect the presence of Adonis, so a less than perfect application is more forgiving; termites can move through a gap in repellent barrier treatments as small as 1/32 inch.
How it works: Equil Adonis contains imidacloprid, the same active ingredient in Merit® Insecticide. When above or below ground chewing and sucking insects come in contact with Equil Adonis, they stop feeding and die. Imidacloprid is the most widely used insecticide in the world for turf and ornamental insect control.
Turf Protection: Equil Adonis moves laterally in the soil and provides excellent control of white grubs in turf with very low use rates.
Ornamental Tree and Shrub Protection: Equil Adonis can be applied to the soil and is taken up by the root system, then readily translocates throughout the entire tree or shrub to the areas where insects feed. Foliar applications of Equil Adonis can also be made to reduce insect populations. When the target pest insect begins to feed on a tree or shrub treated with Equil Adonis, it will stop feeding, and die.
Turf Pests (larvae) Controlled: Annual bluegrass weevil, Asiatic garden beetle, billbug, black turfgrass ataenius, European chafer, European crane fly, green June beetle, Japanese beetle, oriental beetle, Southern masked chafer, chinchbug (suppression), and mole crickets.
Ornamental Tree and Shrub Insects Controlled: Adelgids, aphids, armored scales (suppression), black vine weevil larvae, eucalyptus longhorned borer, flatheaded borer, Japanese beetles, lace bugs, leaf beetles, leafhoppers, leafminers, mealybugs, pecan leaf phylloxera, pecan spittlebug, pecan stem phylloxera, pine tip moth larvae, psyllids, royal palm bugs, San Jose scale, sawfy larvae, soft scales, thrips (suppression), white grub larvae and whiteflies.

Q: I wanted to ask if this is usable as a root drench for root aphids, and if so, how close to harvest can you continue to apply?
