NyGuard Plus is a unique product that combines flea and tick control with a pet odor neutralizer. NyGuard Plus kills all stages of fleas and ticks quickly and provides residual control of fleas for up to 7 months. The formulation is a combination of a pyrethroid, the insect growth regulator (IGR) NyGuard, and a synergist. Application is easy using the aerosol can and the spray nozzle will not drip.
The patented odor neutralizer will leave you with a treated area that smells clean and fresh and even neutralizes the odor of urine.

For best results before any carpet/surface treatment, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and immediately dispose of vacuum bag in outside trash. Before treatment, SHAKE WELL and make a test application to surfaces to be treated in an inconspicuous place.
Fleas & Ticks: Hold can 2 or 3 feet from surfaces to be treated. Turn container upside down and point valve toward surface to be sprayed. Be sure to apply uniformly using a sweeping motion to carpets, rugs, flooring, floors, drapes and all surfaces of upholstered furniture including under cushions. Avoid over wetting furniture and carpeting. A fine mist or spray applied uniformly is all that is necessary to kill fleas and ticks. Be sure to treat pet bedding, as this is a primary hiding place for fleas, ticks, and their eggs. No need to remove pet bedding after treatment. DO NOT TREAT PETS. Use a registered flea control product on your pets in conjunction with this treatment.
Cockroaches: Spray into hiding places such as cracks, crevices, behind sinks, cabinets, along baseboards and floors, around drains and plumbing. Directly contact as many cockroaches as possible.
Dust Mites: Spray with a sweeping motion to surfaces where mites congregate such as mattresses, box springs, headboard, floors, carpeting, and baseboard. Spray surfaces until damp. Apply on mattresses as a spot treatment to mattress seams, edges, buttons, and tufts of bed only. Do not use directly on pillows, bed linens, or cloths. Do not saturate the mattress and do not treat entire surface area of mattress. Allow mattress to dry thoroughly before replacing pillows and/or bed linens.
Carpet Beetles: Apply with a sweeping motion as a surface spray to carpet, rugs, closets, baseboards, upholstered furniture, and around edges of carpet.
Lice: Spray only surfaces that cannot be laundered or dry-cleaned including mattresses and upholstered furniture.

Q: How many square feet does the 1 can cover?
A: The Nyguard Plus Flea Spray will cover about 2,000 square feet of area with one can. You may want to reapply 10 to 14 days later, so maybe get extra.
Q: Do you usually recommend treating a second time?
A: It is not necessary to apply a second application, if you were thorough in your first application. There is enough chemical to control the fleas for up to 7 months, you may start seeing adult fleas again about 10 days after first spray because eggs have begun to hatch, but the first spray should take care of them. If you do not want to wait, you could reapply.
Q: Someone said this worked also for Dust Mites is this correct?
A: Yes the Nyguard Plus Flea Spray will work for Dust Mites and Cockroaches
Q: How do apply this product? Is it a spray or bomb?
A: Nyguard Plus Flea Spray is an aerosol spray that is used upside down and applied in a sweeping motion. It is not a bomb that is set off, but will work much better since you can get the spray to the areas that you need it.
Q: My spraying thing got knocked off is there any way to get it back on?
A: Sometimes you can dislodge the actuator when removing the cap, so on the next can you want to pull straight up. If it is dislodge then you can easily reattach it by pointing the top of the can towards the floor. Place the actuator on the stem and gently push until you hear a click. Continue pressing until you hear a second click. That should take care of the NyGuard Plus Flea Spray Cap.
